In a recently held seminar - "China Credit Card Observer and Review", ICBC Credit Card was rated as "Excellent" and earned the unique plaudit of "2006 Best User Experience of China Credit Card". Among the 4 banks received the "Excellent" rating, ICBC was the only state-owned commercial bank to get such a distinguished award.

"2006 China Credit Card Review", conducted exclusively by Hexun.com, was the first in-depth review focused on credit card in China. According to Mr. Chen Jianfeng, Chief Operating Officer of Hexun.com, owing to data from banks was not readily available, scale of the bank and card turnover were not taken into account. Instead, the Review was conducted purely on users' experience in using credit cards offered from 14 domestic state-owned banks and joint-equity commercial banks in terms of fee, card services, function and added-value grouped under 58 individual indicators. This should reflect the ratio of price and performance, level of value-added services and overall competitiveness of credit cards issued by different domestic banks in a much objective fashion.
