ICBC IPO Wins another Five Awards from International Finance Review

ICBC IPO, after winning five international awards from Finance Asia,recently snapped more international awards from The Asset, IFR Asia and CFO Asia.

On December 15, The Asset announced the results of its annual review on its website. ICBC IPO won 3A Awards of "Best Deal", "Best Equity" and "Best IPO". The Asset is a famous monthly English financial journal in Asia and Hong Kong. Its annual event of 3A Awards has enjoyed a high reputation in international financial scene since the year 1999.

On December 15, ICBC won "Deal of the Year" from CFO Asia, which is a subsidiary of Economist.

On December 17, IFR Asia announced its results of selection for this year. ICBC won the crown of "Equity Deal of the Year". IFR Asia, with a more than 30 years history, is one of the authoritative financial and economic magazines in the world, a premier publication in the global capital marketplace.

ICBC raised USD 21.9 billion from equity market through IPO, became world largest IPO ever so far. CFO Asia remarked that ICBC IPO this time is a salvos deal of history. The IPO has consolidated the position of China in global capital market.

Recently, Finance Asia, world famous financial and economic media, announced annual awards of 2006 on its website (www.financeasia.com). During this selection, ICBC IPO received five international awards: "Deal of the Year 2006", "Best Equity Deal", "Best IPO", "Best Privatization" and "Deal of the Year-China") according to its distinctive performance in 2006.

Finance Asia, headquartered in Hong Kong, is one of the most influential financial and economic journals in Asia. ICBC was named twice as "Best Local Bank in China" in their review 2003 and 2004. On October 27, 2006, ICBC was listed on both Hong Kong and Shanghai markets, creating tens of history records in international capital market. ICBC become fourth largest bank in the world following the distinctive performance after being listed. It is all these stunning achievements that Finance Asia granted the five most prestigious international awards to ICBC.

ICBC got a higher valuation than the two last listed state-owned commercial banks. It overcame all the barriers from different regulatory regimes and be the first project successfully listed in both Hong Kong and Mainland. ICBC only spent 7 months from identifying main underwriter to being listed finally. This is a remarkable achievement judging from a bank with 18,000 branches", said Finance Asia.
