ICBC Participated in Bill Market and Business Seminar of Mainland and Taiwan

Recently, "Bill Market and Business Seminar of Mainland and Taiwan", jointly organized by China City Finance Association and Taipei Finance Research Development Fund Association and undertook by ICBC, was officially opened at Shanghai International Conference Center. Over 30 representatives and experienced experts from regulatory bodies, industry and academics in bill market of Mainland and Taiwan gathered together for the first time to discuss on the issues of finance and banking of both sides of the Strait. Leaders in the seminar were: Mr. Su Ning,Vice President of Peoples' Bank of China, Mr. Feng Guoqin, Standing Vice Mayor of Shanghai, Mr. Yang Kaisheng, President of ICBC, Ms. Wang Lili, Vice President of ICBC and Mr. Pei Chuanzhi, Vice President of Inter-bank Offered Center.

Mr. Su Ning, Vice President of Peoples' Bank of China, made an introduction on Mainland bill market and its business development, stated the contributions of bill market and bill business in pushing the economy from the macro perspective. During the seminar, Mr. Yang Kaisheng, President of ICBC, pointed out: financial sector has always played a dominant role in the exchanges and interactions between Mainland and Taipei as economic activities across the Strait flourished. Today, financial professionals across the strait get together and hold a seminar on issues concerning bill market and business on both sides of the Strait, which will further promote the exchanges and cooperation between banking sectors from both sides, and steer onto a much closer economic relationship between the two as well. Ms. Wang Lili, Vice President of ICBC, also delivered a great thematic speech on topics concerning bill market and business. 

During the seminar, delegates from both sides of the Strait have extensive exchanges and in-depth discussions on common issues such as bill institutions and business development in China and Taiwan, functions and features of bill market in currency market, surveillance and regulations on bill business, risk identification and prevention, operation methods, dealing tool innovations and so on.
