Sichuan and Chongqing suffered from the flood catastrophe unprecedented in fifty years. Seventy-four counties in Sichuan were awfully damaged and over ten million people and four million livestock were challenged by water shortage. To help the misfortunate people to reduce damage and to tide through the difficulties, ICBC promoted the donation activities for the benefit of the designated counties and towns.

The ICBC designated towns include Wanyuan City, Tongjiang County, and Nanjiang County. They are located in central and northeastern Sichuan suffering from the most dreadful harms. The yields of crops in three towns were cut short by more than 35%. Concerned with the disaster-struck people, ICBC staffs initiated the donation activity and reached out the hands of philanthropy. Till the end of September 5, 2074 employees of the bank made altogether RMB 112772 in donation.
