It is reported that ICBC won four important awards including "Best Consumer Internet Bank of China", "Best Corporate/Institutional Internet Bank of China", "Best Consumer Internet Bank of Investment Management of Asia" and "Best Investment Management Corporate/Institutional Internet Bank of Asia" in a "2008 Internet Banks" Vote organized by US Global Finance recently. So far, ICBC has won the title of "Best Consumer Internet Bank of China" for successive six years.

"Global Finance" is a well-known financial and economic journal in the financial industry, even in the world, mainly facing financial decision-makers in large-scale financial groups globally with nearly 300 thousand high-end readers in over 100 countries. The journal invites independent experts from the third parties and senior professionals of international financial industry to organize a "Best Global Internet Banks" Vote and selects the most excellent internet banks in different areas of the world every year in comprehensive consideration of a series of indexes like service ability and attraction, growth of client number, practical profitability, functionality and convenience of client interface as well as product innovation.       

According to the introduction, among the best internet banks selected this time, ICBC was the only one domestic bank wining the awards, and obtained the two major awards including "Best Consumer Internet Bank of China" and "Best Corporate/Institutional Internet Bank of China" for the first time. Meanwhile, in the selection of "Best Consumer Internet Bank of Asia", ICBC was the only one bank awarded besides HSBC.

Industrial experts believe that the fact that ICBC Internet Banking won the titles in the selections of the international influential media for successive six years shows the ICBC Internet Banking has not only been leading the way in China, but also stepped into the advanced banks in the world. As the domestic Internet Banking with the strongest functions, in combination of banking, investing and financing, ICBC Internet Banking can offer various services such as account inquiry and transfer, 7days×24 hours remittance, bill payment, FX, securities, insurance, gold, futures, online payment, group financing and capital collection. Meanwhile, there are obvious advantages of safety in ICBC Internet Banking. For example, cooperating with some famous enterprises such as Microsoft, ICBC launched the digital certificate- "USB-Shield" based on the encrypted intelligent chip hardware for the first time in China.   

Recently, depending on the prominent performance and safe, efficient services, ICBC Internet Banking has been favored by more and more clients and obtained rapid development. During January to August this year, the internet transaction volume of ICBC has reached RMB 84 trillion, among them, Personal/Corporate Internet Banking reached RMB 5.5 trillion and RMB 78.5 trillion respectively, and increased 138.8% and 51.9% respectively comparing with the same period of last year. By the end of August this year, ICBC Internet Banking has attracted 51.34 million clients, followed by all other domestic banks in market shares. In present, the business through Internet Banking channel has accounted for 40% of total business of ICBC and Internet Banking has become an important business channel of ICBC.
